How to install MyListResort on any device
MyListResort installs straight from your browser: a real icon on your home screen or dock, its own window, and nothing to download. It takes under a minute. On Android you can also install it from Google Play. Find your device below.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
- Open MyListResort in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow, in the toolbar).
- Scroll the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
- Tap Add. The app icon lands on your home screen like any other app.
Using Chrome or another browser on iPhone? The same option lives in its menu, but Safari is the sure path on iOS.
Android (Chrome and most browsers)
- Open MyListResort in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap "Add to Home screen" (some versions say "Install app"), then confirm.
- The icon appears on your home screen and in your app drawer.
Samsung Internet and Firefox offer the same thing from their own menus.
Windows (Chrome or Edge)
- Open MyListResort in Chrome or Edge.
- Look at the right end of the address bar for the small install icon, or open the browser menu.
- Choose "Install MyListResort" (in Edge it can also live under Apps).
- The app opens in its own window and pins to the Start menu and taskbar like any program.
Mac (Safari or Chrome)
- Open MyListResort in your browser.
- In Safari: choose File, then "Add to Dock" (macOS Sonoma or newer).
- In Chrome: click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or the menu, then Install.
- The app gets its own Dock icon and window, separate from your browser tabs.
What installing gets you
The same app, one tap closer: its own icon and window, faster launches, and on iPhone it is also what unlocks notifications. Updates are automatic, the moment we ship them. And because it is the web underneath, the person you share a list with needs nothing but the link: they can use MyListResort in their browser without installing anything.
FAQ
Is the installed version a real app?
Yes. MyListResort is a Progressive Web App: installing it gives you a real icon, its own window, and instant updates (there is nothing to re-download when we ship improvements). It is the same app either way; installing just removes the browser chrome around it.
Is MyListResort on Google Play?
Yes. The Android app is on Google Play, and it is the same MyListResort as the website: the same account, the same lists, the same household. Install it from Google Play if you prefer a store install, or follow the Android steps above to install straight from your browser. Either route gives you the same app.
Is it on the Apple App Store?
Not today. On iPhone and iPad you install it from Safari using the steps above, which puts the same icon on your home screen and gives it its own window. That is also what makes notifications possible on iOS: they need the app added to the home screen first, on iOS 16.4 or newer.
Do reminders and notifications work when installed?
Yes, once you allow them in the app. On Android, Windows and Mac they work installed or not. On iPhone, notifications require the app to be installed to your home screen first (iOS 16.4 or newer), which is one more reason to install.
Does it need an internet connection?
Not for your lists. They are saved on your device, so with no signal you can still open them, check things off, and add or edit items. Those changes sync as soon as you reconnect, and the app tells you what it last knew and when. A few things do still need a connection: creating or sharing a list, and moving cards on a board.
How do I uninstall it?
Like any app. On a phone, press and hold the icon and choose remove or uninstall. On desktop, open the installed app’s own menu and choose uninstall (Chrome and Edge list installed apps in their settings too). Your lists live in your account, so uninstalling loses nothing.
