A family chore chart that tracks allowance

MyListResort turns chores into a shared board an adult manages for the family. Eligible household members age 13+ can join with their own accounts, see the board, and check off assigned chores. For younger children, an adult records progress instead. Every chore can carry a point value or dollar amount; at payday, one tap records the total and resets the board for the next round. There’s no debit card or bank account: MyListResort keeps the tally and you settle up in cash, however you like.

FAQ

Do I need a debit card or a bank account?

No bank or card connection is required. MyListResort records the chore values and payout totals you enter; payment happens outside the Service.

Can I use it for more than one child?

Yes. Eligible household members age 13+ can each use an account for assigned chores and separate running totals. An adult should manage and record chores for younger children; separate account-based totals are only for eligible account holders. The free plan fits 4 people on the board counting you, so a bigger family wants the Household upgrade (up to 8).

Can I track points instead of money?

Yes. Give a chore a plain point value or a dollar amount, whichever suits your family. Running totals and payouts work the same either way, so you can reward with allowance, screen time, or privileges.

Can family members only complete their own chores?

Yes. An eligible household member age 13+ using their own account can only move and complete cards assigned to them. They can’t add, edit, delete, or reassign, and the standard member board UI hides the planning Backlog until you release a chore. That UI hiding is not a confidentiality boundary, so do not put sensitive information there. An adult records completions for younger children.

Is the chore chart free?

Yes. Assignments, per-chore points or dollar amounts, running totals and payout history are all included at no cost, on a board shared with up to 4 people counting you. What the plan meters is how many lists you share at once, and a chore board is an ordinary list: Free owns 3 and shares 2 of them. That cap counts lists you own, not lists you join, so the chore board can run right beside the shared grocery list on Free. A household sharing more lists than that wants the Household upgrade.

After the sticker chart curled off the fridge and the chore app asked for a debit card, families end up here. Your last resort pays out in cash and high fives.
